The general welfare clause means that the gov cannot do anything for individuals and that what it does do must benefit all individuals. You cannot take from some and give to others. It is anti Constitutional. The Constitution does not give the fed gov the stewardship to provide for any social benefits. The gov cannot legally have anything to do with pricing of health insurance. Let me point out that the facts prove the lowest cost for health care is to only have catastrophe insurance and pay cash for everything else. But the gov cannot be involved in that matter. The gov cannot be involved in housing. The arts. Or any other individually benefited program.
