Utah considers Apple, Google notifications to alert about COVID-19 exposure
Utah’s COVID-19 Unified Command group announced Friday it intends to explore the idea of using Apple and Google's Exposure Notification Express tool to help notify residents of potential exposures to COVID-19.
In a statement, the group said the state has canceled its previously-issued request for a proposal from vendors to integrate Bluetooth technology with the Healthy Together mobile app. Vendors who submitted proposals were notified Friday about the state's plan… The Healthy Together App was originally purchased by the state of Utah for millions of dollars to be used as a contact tracing app

An US Postal Service worker was arrested in New York at the Canadian border allegedly with undelivered mail in his trunk, including three absentee ballots mailed by the Erie County Board of Elections, according to a report.
On Tuesday night, Border agents allegedly found 800 pieces of undelivered mail, including 106 political mailings, 220 first-class mailings and 484 standard mailings, in the trunk of Brandon Wilson's car. Wilson, 27, who has been employed by the postal service since 2019, was charged with delaying or destroying mail.
