Governments in Utah amass $37.5 billion in investment accounts (Taxpayer Money)
Governments across Utah may plead poverty, saying money is tight, but data from the Utah State Treasurer's Office shows the state, cities and counties, public school and special service districts collectively hold a "record" amount of money in state-managed investment accounts.
The funds are in the Public Treasurer's Investment Fund, otherwise known as PTIF.
"The Public Treasurer's Investment Fund today is $37.5 billion,” said Oaks. “We're at a high point."
Governments---districts, municipalities and the state can draw down those funds for expenses---but still the reserves have grown dramatically, and the increase has been most striking for state government.

The Center for Environmental Health (CEH) sent a notice to major retailers Amazon.com, Target and Walmart on Tuesday notifying them that they are in violation for selling shampoos, body soaps and other hygienic products that contain cocamide diethanolamine, or cocamide DEA.
Cocamide DEA is derived from coconut oil and commonly used in shampoos, soaps and lotions as a foam booster, thickening agent and stabilizer.
