Dubai Nail Salon Installing Microchips on Customers’ Fingernails
A beauty salon in Dubai is carrying out “microchip manicures” where tiny microchips that act as digital business cards are planted on a customer’s fingernail, with the chip eventually intended to be used for contactless payments and digital menus.
“We install the information that you want, like your name, your mobile number, your social media accounts and website as well,” Lanour Beauty Lounge founder Nour Makarem told CNN.
The chips also make use of use near field communication (NFC) technology to connect with other mobile devices.

Border Patrol agents searching the train apprehended at least 25 illegals, including more than 20 who were flushed through a release chute in the bottom of a grain hopper car.

Should Utah police officers be allowed to use medical marijuana?
"Marijuana is still illegal federally. So by statute, we're required to investigate that and hold officers to that standard," he said.
Law enforcers cannot carry a gun if they use marijuana. And in order for a person to be certified as an officer in Utah, that person must be clean from marijuana for a year, even if they come from a state where it is legal or if they have a medical marijuana card. The card must also be expired for a year before becoming a certified police officer in Utah.

“They haven’t gone up. They’ve almost doubled,” said Nick Rando, who owns Ziti Trattoria in Natick. He compared what he paid back in January to today’s prices. “Red meat for steak tips and steak was $7.35 a pound. Last week, it was $13.20 a pound.”
