  • The Texas Supreme Court had ordered her release after she was jailed Tuesday for refusing to close her store during the coronavirus pandemic  
  • Texas Gov. Greg Abbott amended his executive order Thursday, removing the possibility for citizens to be imprisoned for violating stay-at-home orders
  • The governor and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton had both slammed the judge's decision to imprison her and called for the salon owner's release
  • Luther was sentenced to seven days in jail Tuesday after she reopened her salon on April 24 and repeatedly ignored court orders to close up shop
