On Friday New Mexico Gov.
Michelle Lujan Grisham declared a state of emergency under the state's Riot
Control Act in the city of Gallup following a staggering surge in COVID-19
cases.
Truckers parked up along Constitutional Avenue where they blasted their
horns together in a protest that could be heard all the way to the White House, as they say they are struggling to make a living due
to falling rates. Anti-lockdown protests also continued across the US Saturday,
as people call for an end to stay-at-home orders amid the pandemic.
Heavily-armed men carrying rifles and sporting camouflage gear marched on the

Governors and mayors across
the nation have claimed that their emergency powers allow them to ban large
groups during the coronavirus pandemic. They don't want groups gathering in
malls, movie theaters or even churches, despite the constitutional protection
of religious rights.
Oregon Gov.
Kate Brown signed an executive order Friday, extending the state of
emergency for another 60 days.
The state of emergency order allows the Oregon Health Authority and the
Office of Emergency Management more authority to respond to the crisis.

Chicago mayor threatens to issue citations, arrest those who ignore stay-at-home order: 'We
will shut you down'
"We will shut you down, we will cite you, and if we need to, we
will arrest you and we will take you to jail," she said Saturday during a
press conference.
U.S. undergraduates have sued more than 50 schools, demanding partial
tuition, room-and-board and fee refunds after they shut down.
