Lorie Smith’s attorneys at Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) secured the settlement recently, although it will be finalized in the coming weeks, according to Reuters.
The settlement follows a Supreme Court decision in June 2023, which affirmed that Smith and her company 303 Creative could not be forced to create “wedding” websites for homosexuals.

Kearns High School students being robbed at gunpoint
The Unified Police Department is investigating at least four cases of Kearns High School students being robbed at gunpoint just outside the school, potentially by other teenagers.
Detective Angie Oldham with the Unified Police Department Kearns Precinct explained the robberies happened over the last three weeks in the area of the train tracks east of the high school, with the most recent report on Sept. 27.
"We've had some victims call in to report that they've been held at gunpoint and robbed of their personal items," Oldham said.
She further explained the suspect in each case held a handgun up to the victim's face, demanding anything of value — phones, credit cards, money, even one of the victim's pairs of shoes.

Customers using Bank of America reported having trouble accessing their bank accounts for at least several hours Wednesday.
Reports of problems spiked around 1 p.m. ET, when about 20,266 outages were reported, according to the website Downdetector.
People complained that their account balances were not visible on the app while others said they could access their accounts but that they were seeing a balance of $0.
“App not working and online banking shows yesterday's balance,” one user said on Downdetector.
