The race is not yet over in Arizona as it emerged as a battleground state on Wednesday night, despite Fox News and the Associated Press already declaring a Biden victory. The state's outcome is not looking quite so sure after mail-in ballots resulted in a surprising surge for Trump in Maricopa County, the state's most populous district that includes Phoenix. Biden's lead has been cut from more than 200,000 in the state to just 79,000 with still 400,000 votes to be tallied. As the officer was crossing Bengal Boulevard, Parlette drove at a high rate of speed and partially crossed over the center line, "intentionally aiming his vehicle at the CHPD code enforcement officer. (Parlette) honked his horn at the CHPD code enforcement officer, causing him to jump out of the way of the moving vehicle, nearly missing the officer by approximately 1 foot," according to the affidavit.
Parlette allegedly sped away through nearby neighborhoods, but other witnesses were able to get a license plate number and turned it over to police. Officers used it to find Parlette on Wednesday and arrest him.

2 Utahns dead, 1 in critical condition after Nevada shooting
SALT LAKE CITY — Four people were killed, and one critically injured in a shooting in Henderson, Nevada, on Tuesday.
11:00 a.m. officers were sent to investigate reports of gunshots in a residential area. When officers arrived on scene they discovered two women dead and a 16-year-old girl injured.
Officers then located the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jason Neo Bourne, barricaded in a car with a handgun as well as a 12-year-old boy being held hostage, officials say.
Officers attempted deescalation tactics with the suspect, who held his handgun to the boy's head, leading to an officer-involved shooting, Farrell said.
The boy was pulled from the car and officers began life-saving measures, but unfortunately, the boy succumbed to his injuries along with the suspect, officials say
