Multiple people trapped underwater after small plane crashes into Utah Lake
Several people are trapped underwater after a single-engine plane crashed into a lake in Utah on Friday.
'We've got crews of personnel out on the lake. They're just confirming some things. The plane's in about eight and a half feet of water,' said Jess Campbell, Saratoga Springs Fire Department chief.
The plane had reportedly been cleared to land at nearby Provo Airport before it went down in the lake at about 10am local time.
Several witnesses saw the plane go down near the boat harbor and called 911.
Dive teams are searching for the pilot and any other possible passengers.
Utah Lake State Park has been closed as the search continues.

A new bill introduced by Democrat Senator Ron Wyden would add six more justices to the Supreme Court and introduce a raft of measures designed to make the Court work in the Democrats’ favour.
